Level 3 Environmental and Climate Science

At the end of the course you will acquire knowledge of field techniques, lab techniques, pollution, water management and genetics, deepening your understanding of the environment and climate.

You will explore a variety of units across biology, chemistry, mathematics and environmental sciences ensuring you acquire the knowledge needed to succeed in the exciting science sector. Progression may include higher education options such as a relevant degree in geology, environmental sciences, ecology or marine biology.

Assessment types 
You will be assessed via internal assessments in accordance with Certa’s policies. These include practicals (lab work), assignments, exams and reports. There are some presentations and alternative assessment methods that are decided upon based on the skills requirements of universities (for example literature reviews and academic posters etc).
Entry Requirements
Two or more GCSEs at grade 4 or above including English and maths. You will also need a successful interview and should be aged 19 years or above.
Career Progression
Progression may include a relevant degree such as geology, environmental sciences, ecology or marine biology to name a few.
Green Skills Course

The course focuses around geology and environmental sciences to deepen understanding around climate change and the impact it will continue to have.
