Understand Resource Efficiency and Waste Management

On this course you will be able to define the terms ‘waste’ and ‘resource efficiency’ whilst gaining knowledge on what impacts of resource consumption and waste disposal on the environment.
You will also be able to outline the steps of the waste hierarchy, gaining an understanding on the different types of waste classification in legislation and the types of recyclable waste streams.
They will also be able to explain the different types of symbols for recycling, accompanied with knowledge on recycling schemes and actions individuals/organisation may take to reduce consumption and waste.
