Level 2 Certificate in Understanding Climate Change and Environmental Awareness
Climate Change and sustainability are relatively new topics but are more frequently part of the daily news feed as well as conversations both in and out of the workplace. This course gives you the foundation you need to take an active part in these conversations as well as the opportunity for professional development in your working environment.
This course focuses on developing your environmental awareness and your understanding of the term carbon footprint as well as looking at ways of reducing overall environmental impact. You will develop an understanding of a range of waste reduction methods, water efficiency techniques and how to reduce energy consumption. All of this is discussed in the context of environmental protection initiatives and the role of legislation.
The knowledge that you develop will be relevant to you as an individual as well as help you understand the role that both society and industry have to play. At the end of the course you will understand the environmental risks that we are currently faced with but be reassured that a number of measures to mitigate these are in place.
The skills developed on this course will contribute to reducing a business’s carbon footprint.
